However, finding the perfect bucket hat has not been an easy task. They never fit right and I had the hardest time finding one that suited my own personal style. One day at work our shipping manager Tammy showed me the bucket hat her mom Gayle had made her. Immediately I asked her if she could make me one and one week later I was given the perfect bucket hat!

It was a really fun process because I got to pick out my own fabric right here from RebsFabStash. And get this, the bucket hat is even reversible! The fabrics I chose were the Winter White Burlap from the Homegrown Holidays Collection by Deb Strain for MODA and the Botanica White Mini Floral by Michel Design Works for Northcott. The Winter White Burlap had beige and white undertones making one side of the bucket hat have a more neutral look whereas the white in the fabric complimented the background of the White Mini Floral. Now if I want a more neutral look I can have the Winter White Burlap side out, or if I want a subtle pop of color I can face the floral side out. 

For me this is the perfect bucket hat and you can make one too for yourself, or a loved one that would match their own personal style, AND protect them from the summer sun!
