I think I will like this bag. There are a few errors and not enough info.

I have been working on the cutting out of this bag and have a few issues which is why I gave it 3 stars. This pattern is vague and has a couple of errors which would make the novice sewer quite confused. I found errors in the directions regarding labeling of parts A, B, C, D... and the like and the sewing instructions to put them together. Also, the sewing lines were not shown on each picture and with some missing this would also confuse a new sewer.
On to the fabric requirements. I followed the fabric list to a "T", got home and 2 were to small requiring me to cut and sew to make it work. As an intermediate sewer, I realize this may be because the width of the riley blake "Day Break" fabric line I selected may be more narrow (selvage to selvage) than the line originally chosen for this project. However with that said, One would think that products with the name Lori Holt on them would be complete and accurate. With all that work put into the fabric requirements, they could not add the width of fabrics used? Also, 2 of my fabric choices were a semi one way design which could have potentially caused more issues for a novice, and the "by the yard" interfacing I had available was just over 20" wide, which had I not known to do the calculations.. could have been a major problem when I went to cut my pieces because the interfacing width used was not noted. I am going to get through this project one way or another... but I am not planning on another Lori Holt pattern any time soon if this is an indicator of the quality.
I understand the RFS is not responsible for these issues and in no way am I holding them responsible. It is noteworthy however for those interested in viewing/purchasing this pattern that I went to several places online to try and view a "real" bag and not a computer generated picture. (which I never did locate) I would highly recommend that RFS provide a way on their review page for people to upload photos of completed projects.
Thank you.
